We listen to the problem, inspect the relevant system, explain findings in clear language, and recommend work that fits the property.
Plumbing problems arrive in a few recognisable shapes, and most calls fall into one of them.
Drains and sewers are the largest group. A single slow fixture is usually a branch-line issue that drain cleaning resolves. Several fixtures responding to each other points at the main line, which is a sewer cleaning or sewer repair question depending on what a camera inspection shows.
Leaks are the second. Some are obvious; the expensive ones are not. A rising bill with no visible cause, a warm patch on the floor, or damp appearing with no fixture nearby all call for leak detection before any repair — and under a slab that becomes slab leak repair.
Hot water is the third. Whether a unit needs repair or replacement usually comes down to what has failed rather than how old it is: components are replaceable, a leaking tank is not.
Then the planned work — repiping a system that keeps springing leaks, gas line installation for a new appliance, fixture and faucet installation, and commercial build-outs.
The physics are the same. What differs is scale, timing and who is affected.
In a home, failures are usually gradual and contained. One fixture slows, one line leaks, and the rest of the system keeps working while it gets sorted out.
Commercial properties fail on volume and on schedule. A restaurant kitchen puts more grease through a line in a week than a household does in a year. Multi-tenant buildings concentrate several units onto shared stacks, so one blockage affects people who did not cause it and cannot fix it. And the real cost is usually the hours the business cannot trade, not the repair itself — which is why commercial work gets planned around operating hours rather than simply performed.
Yes. GS Plumbing 1 Inc. holds California contractor licence CSLB #1131141. It is worth verifying any plumber’s licence before work begins — the CSLB register is public and takes a moment to check.
We are available 24 hours a day, Monday through Sunday. For an active leak or a sewer backup that is genuinely useful; for a dripping faucet, scheduling it normally will cost you less and get the same result.
The test is whether waiting causes damage. A burst pipe, a sewer backup inside the building, or no water at all qualifies. A drip or one slow drain does not, however annoying. If you can shut the water off at a valve and stop the damage, you have converted an emergency into a scheduled repair — which is the better position. See emergency plumbing.
Both. Multi-tenant buildings, restaurants, retail and office properties are routine work alongside residential service, and the scheduling and access questions that come with occupied commercial space are planned into the job.
The address, what you are seeing, when it started, and whether it has happened before. Whether more than one fixture is affected is the single most useful detail — it is what separates a branch-line problem from a main-line one, and it changes what we bring.
